You are eligible if you are an MBBS with a permanent registration from BMDC.

Step 1: Your email address;

Step 2: your personal information;

Step 3: your academic information here you will be asked to upload a) SSC & MBBS certificates; b) BMDC registration and c) a passport size photo. 

Then you need to wait for verification process which typically takes 3 working days.

Step 4: Course fee payment either by online or bank draft which must be done within a week after approval.

 Step 5: Completion of your admission process with receiving your student Identification number.

Then you will be able to login as a student start your study.

CCVD means Certificate Course on Cardiovascular Diseases.

It is a course run by Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital & Research Institute and Diabetic Association of Bangladesh.

It is for physician who want to improve their skill in Cardiovascular Diseases.

If can completed within a minium duration of 6 (six) months.

Once admited you schould complete it within 3 years otherwise you will be course out.

eCCVD means electronic version of Certificate Course on Cardiovascular Diseases.

eCCVD is a modular course. There are 10 modules. There are 3 phase of the course.

  • Chapter A consist of Module 1, 2 & 3.
  • Chapter B consist of Module 4, 5 , 6 & 7
  • Chapter C consist of Module 8, 9 & 10
  • During Chapter B a student has to attend 2 skill development tutorials (SDT) 1 for clinical skill and 1 for practical skill.
  • During Chapter C a student has to attend one workshop.

What is module?

Modules are for self study. A module resemble a chapter of a text book

  • A module begins with an introductory lesion termed Objectives.
  • And the last lesion is called Summery which summarize the module and gives hints to further reading. 
  • All other lesion has 2 parts a) Text part and b) Practice part.
  • You can study directly and also can be downloaded as pdf .
  • After going through the text a student goes to practice for assignment of study.
  • Practice part is self assessment process with 2 type of questions:  i) Fill up the gap(s) and ii) True/ false response.
  • Score is displayed immediately upon submission or time is over.
  • A student can practice as many as he/she wants.

A student is in Chapter A is by getting admission in the course; in Chapter B by successful completion of PCA 1 and; in Chapter C by successful completion of PCA 2.

And become eligible to site for End Course Examination (ECE) by successful completion of PCA 3.

SDT means Skill Development Tutorial.

  • Prerequisite: completion of PCA1 
  • Apply for a SDT1/SDT2 as per calendar to get a confirmation message with a link of your study material for tutorial (Click on SDT1/ 2 in the dashboard).
  • Take preparation by studying your study materials.  
  • Attend the tutorial as per schedule
  • Submit your evaluation report to (Click on Evaluation in the dashboard).get a SDT completion message.
  • Prerequisite: completion of PCA2 
  • Apply for a Workshop as per calendar and get a confirmation message  and a link of instructions (Click on Workshop in the dashboard).
  • Attend the session
  • Submit your evaluation report to (Click on Evaluation in the dashboard).get a Workshop completion message.

ECE means End Course Examination.

  • Prerequisite: completion of PCA3  or previously unsuccessful ECE
  • Apply for a ECE per calendar to get your admit card.
  • Attend the ECE
  • Submit your report to get your certificate(Click on Certificate in the dashboard)

PCA means Phase Completion Assessment.

It is an online assessment/examination at the end of a phase.

  1. Student will apply for his/her PCA after becoming eligible for it (Click on PCA -1/ 2/ 3 in the dashboard).
  2. Question has to answer in True/False format either in a single statement or in stems of a multiple choice question (MCQ).
  3. Marking system: for a correct response + 1; for an incorrect response -0.5 and for a no response 0.
  4. Once a student start PCA “Countdown” for 25 minutes will start.
  5. End of a PCA can be done using “Submit” button or will be automatic at the end of countdown.
  6. Result will be displayed and also a message will be sent
  7. Unsuccessful student can apply for another PCA at after one week.

 

What are the eligibility criteria for appearing PCA?

  • For PCA 1: After 4 weeks of start day of the course.
  • For PCA 2: After successful completion SDT 1 and 2.
  • For PCA 3: After successful completion Workshops.
